Mission Statement

    The mission statement for this library is closely linked to that of the University's statement.  It is the mission of all involved in the endeavor to educate and enrich the lives of our students and community to dedicate our time and talents to:
 

• Provide informational services and resources to meet the requirements of the educational programs of Oakland City University

• Provide a setting conducive for academic excellence, technical preparation, and life-long learning

• Aid in the promotion of Christian ethical and moral values

• Strive to become a leader in preparing our students and community for success in their endeavors to productively enter into the 21st century; spiritually, intellectually, and morally

Library Hours

Final's week scheduled (4/30/12-5/4/12): Open Monday-Wednesday 8:00 am to midnight, Thursday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, closed Saturday and Sunday. Have a safe and enjoyable Summer.

The library hours are subject to change during holidays and semester breaks. Hours and days open can be checked by calling 812-749-1269.

REGULAR HOURS

Sunday 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Monday 8:00 am to midnight

Tuesday 8:00 am to midnight

Wednesday 8:00 am to midnight

Thursday 8:00 am to midnight

Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Saturday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

Computer Policies

1. Because of the limited number of staff members, the library staff can not be expected to give in-depth computer training
2. The library staff reserves the right to restrict the types of programs which may be used on the computers
3. There is to be NO access to pornographic sites – YOU WILL BE INSTRUCTED to LEAVE the library
4. Nothing is to be copied onto the hard drive – personal files left on the drive will be deleted nightly
5. Anyone using the computers to play games and/or access e-mail will be asked to give up their computer if it is needed for academic purposes
6. All printing should be restricted to class use or research - there will be a charge of $.10 a page for excessive and/or personal printing
7. Not all of our patrons have computer privileges, so be prepared to show your student ID upon request
